Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 8, 2026

Loyca does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app has no internet permission — it is technically incapable of sending your information anywhere. Everything stays on your device.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Loyca ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application, published under the package name com.siamo.loyca. Loyca is a loyalty-card wallet developed by Zeromonad.

Loyca lets you store your loyalty, membership, and reward cards on your phone by scanning or typing in their barcode, then display that barcode on screen at the checkout. This policy explains what data the App does and does not collect, and how the App works.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

Loyca does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any of the following:

Loyca does not request the INTERNET permission. Android therefore blocks the App from making any network connection at all — this is enforced by the operating system, not merely promised by us.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All data you enter into Loyca — including card names, code values, barcode formats, colours, notes, favourites, your chosen card order, and any front or back photographs you take — is stored exclusively on your device in a local database and in the App's own private storage. This data:

If your device uses Android's native backup service (Google Backup), your local app data may be included in that backup according to Google's own privacy policy. This is a device-level feature outside our control, and you can manage it in your Android device settings.

4. Camera Permission

Loyca requests the CAMERA permission for two purposes, both of which happen entirely on your device:

The camera is used only while a scanning or photo screen is open. You can decline or later revoke the camera permission in your Android settings; the App remains fully usable by typing card numbers in manually, and any photos you already saved stay where they are.

5. No Account Required

Loyca does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to use the App. There is no registration, no cloud profile, and no sign-in with a social or Google account. All features are available immediately after install.

6. Export and Import

Loyca lets you export your entire card library — including inlined photographs — to a single JSON file that you choose the destination for, and to import such a file back into the App. These files are created and read on your device at your explicit request. We never receive a copy. Once you save or share an exported file, its contents are under your control, and we recommend treating it as sensitive because it contains your card numbers.

7. Children's Privacy

Loyca does not collect any personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected or transmitted, the App is safe for use by all ages. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable regulations.

8. Third-Party Services

Loyca does not integrate any analytics tools, advertising networks, social login services, or crash-reporting services. It contains no in-app purchases and no ads. The App bundles Google's ML Kit barcode-scanning library and the ZXing barcode-rendering library; both run entirely offline inside the App and send nothing anywhere. No data is shared with any third party.

9. Data Security

Because Loyca stores all data locally on your device, your data security depends on your device's own protections. Card data lives in the App's private storage, which other apps cannot read on a non-rooted device. We encourage you to use a secure screen lock and keep device encryption enabled.

10. Your Rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or erase on your behalf. You have complete control over your data at all times: you can edit or delete any card inside the App, export a copy for yourself, and remove everything permanently by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage in Android settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users via an in-app notice or a new App release. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
